BASOVCA Organizes Phase 3 OVC Data Collection and Validation Training,



Bauchi State Orphans and Vulnerable Children Agency (BaSOVCA) successfully conducted a one-day training for its third batch of OVC data collection and validation enumerators, supervisors, and local government focal officers. The Director of Admin and Human Resources, Shehu Yakubu Usman, represented by the Deputy Director of the Agency, Alhaji Ahmed Kawu Aliyu, inaugurated the training.

During the opening remarks, participants were urged to act as exemplary ambassadors of both the Agency and the Bauchi state government. They were advised to avoid any form of sentiment, tribal or religious differences that could tarnish the agency's image. The Director wished them success in carrying out their tasks.

Hajiya Zainab Yahaya Isah, the Head of Department for Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) at the agency, emphasized the importance of capturing only orphans and the most vulnerable children in their data. Participants were urged to promptly report any critical cases requiring urgent attention to their supervisors, who would then escalate it to the Agency for necessary action.

Alhaji Abdullahi Inuwa (Ajiyan Kobi), the State Chairman of the OVC League, called on his members to provide maximum cooperation and support to the enumerators during the exercise in their respective areas.

The third phase of the training covered Zaki, Gamawa, Toro, Tafawa Balewa, Kirfi, Darazo, and Ningi local governments. The ten-day training is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, and conclude on Friday, December 8, 2023.
