WIVES OF 36 STATE GOVERNORS RECEIVED BY GOVERNOR BALA ABDULKADIR MOHAMMED AND EMIR OF BAUCHI

Today, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed warmly welcomed the wives of the 36 State Governors, affirming his unwavering support for their commendable initiatives. While Governor Bala was attending to other official duties, his Deputy, Rt Hon Mohammed Auwal Jatau, represented him admirably during this significant occasion. The reception took place at the State Banquet Hall, where he reiterated Governor Bala's administration's commitment to addressing the goals and challenges set forth by the Forum.

Governor Bala acknowledged the positive impact the Forum has had in areas such as education, healthcare, skills acquisition programs, and economic empowerment projects. He commended the Forum for exemplifying the true meaning of "service to humanity."

He described the Forum as an invaluable platform for exchanging ideas that can shape government policies and programs, ultimately working towards gender equality and women's empowerment across the nation.

Governor Bala Mohammed emphasized the importance of using this platform to foster enduring partnerships and networks aimed at addressing social, economic, and political barriers faced by women.

Following the reception, the Forum paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Bauchi's palace. They were warmly received by His Royal Highness, Alh. Dr. Rilwan Adamu, who expressed his gratitude for their visit to Bauchi. He offered prayers for a successful deliberation and stay in Bauchi.

The Chairperson of the Nigerian Governors' Wives Forum, Prof. Olufalake Abdulrazak, the First Lady of Kwara State, expressed her deep appreciation for the warm reception by Governor Bala and the Royal Palace of the Emir of Bauchi. She emphasized that the Forum's primary focus is on addressing gender-based violence, drug abuse, girl child education, sickle cell treatment, and other vital issues.
