Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the executive Governor of Bauchi State, has called upon all education stakeholders to collaborate with the government in implementing evidence-based policies aimed at resolving challenges within the state's education sector.

The ongoing summit, themed "Nurturing a Flourishing Future: Improving Access and Quality Education in Bauchi State," is jointly organized by the Ministries of Education and Higher Education.

Speakers at the summit emphasized the need for comprehensive discussions on various issues affecting education in Bauchi State. These discussions will encompass an in-depth assessment of the current state of education and seek to persuade stakeholders and development partners to work alongside the government in formulating evidence-based policies to address existing challenges.

Concerns were raised about the apparent lack of commitment among some teachers, attributed to factors such as poverty, inadequate supervision, and limited skills for effective knowledge transfer to learners. Participants stressed the urgency of addressing these issues to enhance the quality of education.

Dr. Aminu Gamawa, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, reaffirmed Governor Bala's unwavering commitment to enhancing the standard of education in Bauchi State. The administration has actively engaged local and international stakeholders, yielding positive outcomes towards the improvement of the education sector.

The summit concluded with recommendations aimed at transforming the education sector in Bauchi State. If implemented, these recommendations are expected to significantly enhance the sector's overall quality and impact.
